In 2016 SAS will launch a new route between Copenhagen and Boston. The new service will commence at the end of March and will be operated daily using the leased Boeing 737-700 from Privatair. The same aircraft that was previously used on the ‘oil route’ between Stavanger and Houston and is currently used for flights on the Copenhagen-New York route.
The new route will be launched 29 March 2016 with daily departures.
From Copenhagen flight SK 927 will depart at 12.50 arriving in Boston at 15.20. The return flight SK 928 will depart Boston at 17.30 arriving in Copenhagen at 07.00 the following day. The timetable enables connections to and from several airports in Scandinavia and northern Europe.
The aircraft, a Boeing 737-700 BBJ is leased from Privatair. It was previously configured as all-business class with only 44 seats, however it has now been reconfigured with 20 seats in business class and 66 seats in economy class (SAS Go) meaning 86 seats in total.
The inflight service is the same as on other longhaul routes with the exception of no regular inflight entertainment system offered onboard. Instead all passengers can borrow iPads.
