Next summer Finnair will introduce yet another longhaul destination, this time not in Asia but in North America – Chicago. The new route between Helsinki and Chicago will operate three times a week starting 13 June 2015.
The route will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays in both directions. From Helsinki flight AY 009 will depart Helsinki at 17.25 arriving at Chicago O’Hare airport at 18.40. The return flight will depart Chicago at 22.00 as AY 010 arriving back at the Finnish capital at 14.50 the following day.
The route will be operated using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
As a consequence of the opening of the Chicago route Finnair has decided to cancel seasonal summer service to Hanoi.
