SAS today opened its new Cafe Lounge at Malmö Sturup airport in southern Sweden. The lounge is located in the transit hall, close to the domestic departure gates and measures 70 square meters.

The SAS Cafe Lounges are smaller lounges located at regional airports in Scandinavia, airports where it would not be possible or reasonable to operate a full-service lounge.

The Malmö lounge has the standard SAS Cafe Lounge concept offering different seating and work areas, snacks, coffee, tea and soft drinks and free wireless internet. However only snacks and soft drinks are offered, no hot or proper cold food and no alcoholic beverages.

The lounge is open in connection with all SAS departures. Access is provided to SAS Plus passengers and passengers with an SAS Gold or Diamond card.

The lounge in Malmö is the first Cafe Lounge to open in Sweden and the third in the SAS network after Trondheim and Tromsø. The next Cafe Lounge will open in April in Luleå.
