Steigenberger Hotel Group today launched its third hotel brand – Jaz in the City. A brand they describe as a stylish and inspiring experience. The first hotel will open in Amsterdam.

According to the Steigenberger the Jaz and the City hotels will reflect the city’s unique lifestyle, drawing upon local music and culture and bringing artists and their works into the hotel. Art and music are major parts of the hotel brand, the rooms will feature rotating art exhibits and public areas will feature local rhythms with pop-up performances. The lounge bars in the hotels are not just for hotel guests but also for locals, giving the opportunity for visitors and locals to mix. The restaurants will combine “global sensibilities with local specialities”.

The Jaz and the Cith hotels will target “sophisticated world explorers, weekend adventurers, foodies, and price-conscious business travellers and consultants who want to enhance their trips with localised leisure time”.

The first hotel is under construction in Amsterdam and is scheduled to open in September this year. The hotel will feature 247 rooms, 11 suites, a spa, restaurant and bar. The hotel will be located eight km from Amsterdam city centre, close to the Ziggo Dome and the Amsterdam ArenA.

“This new hotel brand is totally in tune with the times”, says Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotel Group. “Our guests will be enthused by the creative atmosphere and the high service standards of Jaz in the City.”
