Incredibly impressed to see Austrian Airlines serving hot food on a flight lasting only 40 minutes between Munich and Vienna. On most European airlines you would need to go back to the 90’s to find a similar high service level.
Hot towels followed by a hot meal with some kind of lasagne, which was really tasty. Hot bread rolls were offered from a basket and for dessert there was an equally tasty chocolate toffee cake served with some kind of raspberry jelly. And of course a full bar service was available with the wines served from large bottles followed by coffee and tea.
And the flight attendant provided such a brilliant, friendly and very attentive service to those of us in business class, to the extent that I almost felt sorry for her struggling to manage during the very short flight. But she did manage, even though the last equipment in the galley was cleared away as we were on our final descent to Vienna Schwechat airport.
