In April this year SAS will open its fourth Cafe Lounge, this time at Luleå Kallax airport in northern Sweden. The new lounge will measure 80 square metres and will be located close to the SAS departure gates in the transit hall. It will be available to passengers travelling in SAS Plus as well as passengers holding a Gold or Diamond card in SAS EuroBonus. The opening hours will follow the SAS timetable at the airport.
The new cafe lounge concept was launched in the spring 2015. It is not a proper full service lounge, similar to those available at the larger international airports, but rather a smaller lounge where frequent travellers can wait for their flights while grabbing a cup of coffee or a snack or checking their e-mails using the free Wi-Fi. There are currently two Cafe Lounges at Trondheim and Tromsø airports in Norway and a third one will open in February at Malmö Sturup Airport.
