Practicing some piano-playing while waiting for the flight

A new advertiser/partner has moved into the British Airways Galleries First Lounge at London Heathrow terminal 5. This time it is not about beverages, nor about jewellery, perfumes or suitcases. Instead lounge guests can practice some piano-playing while waiting for their flights, which as a nice coincidence suited me perfectly.

During Christmas and New Year Roland is showcasing one of its latest digital pianos in the lounge. The piano is turned on and fully working, there are headphones available not to disturb the other lounge guests and you are free to take a seat to try it out. And especially at this time of the year, during the festive season when there are fewer business travellers, there is not much competition for a few minutes at the piano.

There is also an introductory offer available. According to the sign it is available to BA First flyers, which is perhaps a bit strange since the Galleries First Lounge is a top-tier frequent flyer lounge rather than a lounge for first class passengers. Most BA First flyers will probably continue straight to the Concorde Room nextdoor.

Nevertheless it is always fun with these initiatives, especially for people who come here often.
