The latest news from the British Airways Galleries First Lounge at London Heathrow T5, where there always seems to be something going on. This month the Korean electronics firm Samsung has opened a pop-up stand in the lounge where guests can have a look at the latest Samsung products, including the latest mobile phones and a few other Samsung gadgets. There are also staff on hand to give product demonstrations and answer any questions.
After the complete PR disaster with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which has been banned on quite a few airlines this autumn, perhaps this is one of the initiatives to try to restore the reputation of the company. No matter what it is always nice to see these pop-up stands, giving something new and interesting to do and look at during the lounge visit, perhaps while sipping a glass of Henriot bubbly.
