Starting 1 July 2017 Fazer will be the new catering provider to the three Finnair lounges at Helsinki airport. Fazer is a well-known Finnish food, cafe, bakery and confectionery brand. Internationally they are perhaps most famous for their chocolates and candies.

According to the press information from Finnair the deal also includes a Fazer chef who will work in the Finnair Premium Lounge, “preparing meals for customers from fresh seasonal ingredients in front of the customers”, it says.

“We look forward to continuing to develop our lounge concept together with Fazer – they have extensive experience in the café and catering business, and are a great match to our Nordic vision”, says Sari Nevanlinna, Head of Ground Experience and Ancillary at Finnair.

There are three lounges at Helsinki Vantaa airport. A Finnair Business Lounge in the Schengen area, a Finnair Business Lounge in the non-Schengen area, and the Finnair Premium Lounge in the non-Schengen area, open to Finnair Gold/Platinum/Lumo and OneWorld Emerald cardholders.
