All hotel loyalty programs offer various benefits to their loyal members and the more you stay, the higher tier level you reach and the more benefits you get. And of course all programs have their pros and cons.
A very nice benefit of being a tier member in the ‘Le Club’ program, the loyalty program of AccorHotels, is that you get a coupon for a welcome drink upon arrival, and you get it not just as a Gold or Platinum but even as a Silver member, the first tier level after the entry-level ‘Classic’.
To become Silver in Le Club you need ten qualifying nights or 800 euro in eligible expenses.
The coupon is given to you upon check-in at the reception. The conditions may vary but it is almost always good for a complimentary glass of wine or a beer in the bar, and of course for all kinds of non-alcoholic alternatives. At some hotels you may even use it for a cocktail like a Gin & Tonic or a Mojito.
The benefit is offered at nearly all AccorHotels chains with the exception of some of the budget chain hotels like Ibis Budget and some hotels which are part of the AccorHotels group but which are not participating hotels in the Le Club program. If you book a stay at a non-participating hotel you will see this on the Accor webpage.
But if you stay at for example Novotel, Mercure or Sofitel you will be given a drinks voucher.
Few hotel chains offer something like this even at Silver level and it is quite nice to stress down upon arrival after a long day with something nice to drink at the bar.
