Early morning in Rome with a quick breakfast in the Casa Alitalia Piazza Venezia Lounge at Rome Fiumicino airport, located in the Schengen area in concourse D.
The Alitalia lounges have certainly improved during the past years and although this one does not have the latest Casa Alitalia lounge concept it is definitely not bad. Decent breakfast with various hot and cold dishes, including scrambled eggs, meatballs, Italian ham and various pastries. And just lovely to start the day with a freshly-brewed cup of strong Italian coffee from the barista.
The Casa Alitalia lounges are available to Alitalia and Skyteam business class and first class passengers, to Freccia Alata members in the Alitalia MilleMiglia frequent flyer program as well as to Skyteam Elite Plus passengers.
