Tomorrow a new lounge will open at Stockholm Arlanda airport. For the first time an American Express lounge will open in Europe and the location will be inside terminal 5 at Arlanda airport, which is the main international terminal at the airport.
The lounge, called Pontus in the Air, will be available to American Express Platinum and Centurion members and will be run by famous Swedish chef and entrepreneur Pontus Frithiof who runs several restaurants in Sweden and who also has a close cooperation with the Swedish train company MTR Express.
Guests will be able to enjoy a relaxing ambience with a high comfort and service level. There will be a selection of food and drinks available from the Pontus in the Air menu and wine list which will vary depending on the time of the day. There will also be newspapers and magazines, charging stations for mobile devices and free Wi-Fi.
The lounge will open 9 May 2017 and is located airside in terminal 5 between Concourse A and Concourse F, in the same area as the Pontus in the Air restaurant offering a nice view of the main runway, the apron at terminal 5 and the taxfree shops.
The lounge has been designed by architect Erik Andersson and has capacity for up to 38 guests. Access is given to American Express Platinum and Centurion members who are also allowed to bring one guests. Children are also welcome free of charge.
