Today Hilton Paris Opera officially reopened after a major renovation which has given the hotel a new contemporary look while at the same time returning it to its former glory. The hotel opened in 1889 for the world expo in Paris, Exposition Universelle, when also the Eiffel Tower was opened. The hotel has now undergone a complete refurbishment at a total cost of 45 million euro.
Hilton Paris Opera is locate in the opera district with the boulevard Champs-Elysées and the department store Galeries Lafayette within walking distance. The centrepiece of the hotel is the lobby lounge Le Grand Salon with its magnificent chandeliers and its 14 metres high ceilings and hand-painted frescos.
The hotel features 268 guest rooms, including 30 suites. The master suite and the highlight of the hotel is the Maria Callas Suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious living room with high ceilings. Some of the suites have private balconies.
The hotel also features Le Petit Bar offering cocktails, a fitness centre, six meeting rooms and a ballroom for up to 180 guests.
