Are you connecting to or from a Brussels Airlines longhaul flight in economy class? Usually if you travel in Brussels Airlines economy class within Europe (including Check@Go and Light@Relax tickets) food and drinks are available for purchase. However if you connect to or from a longhaul flight you are entitled to a free soft drink or hot drink, also in economy class. It is not announced by the crew but written quite clearly on the menu. “Enjoy a soft or hot drink with our compliments by identifying yourself to the crew”.
Most likely the cabin crew will check the passenger manifest where the connecting flights are indicated, or you may be asked to show your boarding passes.
