Today British Airways opened its new lounge in Geneva, part of a larger lounge refurbishment program. The lounge has received the latest British Airways lounge design which is now available in several lounges around the world including locations such as Aberdeen and Rome.
The lounge has been expanded and now covers an area of 327 sqm divided into different designated zones for different customer needs. There is also a music system with a specially selected playlist.
There are several seating areas in the lounge with comfortable armchairs and with what British Airways call ‘banquette seating’.
The centrepiece of the lounge is the lobby bar, a signature feature of the new lounge design. Beer, wines, spirits and soft drinks are available. There is also prosecco, Italian sparkling wine, available throughout the lounge for self service.
The self-service buffet area offers grilled paninis, continental cheeses, fresh fruits, soups and some hot main courses. There is also a selection of sweets, cakes and biscuits. And naturally there is coffee and tea available.
“Every detail has been carefully considered and we’ve created a space to meet our customers’ needs – whether they want to relax with a hot meal, enjoy a drink at the lobby bar or explore some craft ales, the new lounge is guaranteed to please pre-flight”, explains Carolina Martinoli, British Airways’ Director of Brand and Customer Experience.
The lounge is available to British Airways and OneWorld business class passengers as well as OneWorld Sapphire or OneWorld Emerald members travelling the same day with British Airways or a OneWorld carrier from Geneva.
