Cathay Pacific to open new route to Düsseldorf

Later this year Cathay Pacific will get a new destination in Europe – Düsseldorf in Germany. The new route between Düsseldorf and Hong Kong which was announced today will start 1 September 2015 and will be the second new European destination this year, following in the footsteps of Zürich, a route to be inaugurated next month.

The new service to Düsseldorf will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flight CX 375 departs Hong Kong at 00.50 arriving in Düsseldorf at 07.15. The return flight CX 376 departs Düsseldorf at 13.20 arriving in Hong Kong at 06.35 the following morning

The service will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER with four classes onboard – First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class. Düsseldorf will be Cathay Pacific’s second destination in Germany after Frankfurt.

“We are very pleased to further expand our European network by launching this new Düsseldorf service, which will help to meet the rising demand for business and leisure travel between Germany and Hong Kong. This latest destination launch also underscores Cathay Pacific’s ongoing commitment to building Hong Kong’s position as one of the world’s great international aviation hub”, says Cathay Pacific Chief Executive Ivan Chu.

The service is subject to government approval.
