In 2017 the new terminal pier will open at Oslo Gardermoen airport, almost doubling the terminal capacity to around 30 million passengers a year. During an event yesterday an SAS spokesperson revealed that SAS will also open a new domestic lounge at the airport, which will replace the current domestic lounge once the new pier opens.
The new domestic lounge will be located on the immediate left after the security control, in the same place as the current SAS international lounge but on the opposite side, in the domestic part of the terminal. This area is currently used as office space. There are no plans for a new international lounge as the lounge in the international transit hall was recently refurbished and expanded.
The present SAS domestic lounge opened in June 2014 and is located at the far end of the domestic pier on a balcony above the transit hall.
