The new SAS Gold Lounge at Stockholm Arlanda airport is now under construction, expected to reopen in a month. It will not just be a refurbishment of the existing lounge, not just a well-needed enlargement of the lounge, but a completely new lounge.
Although the area is completely blocked off it is possible to sneak a peek through the window, and it looks nothing like it did before. The entrance to the lounge and the reception area will be the same as earlier but the new lounge will be significantly larger and expanded over the A-pier, an area that did not exist before.
It will be very exciting to see the end result in just a few weeks.
In the meantime EuroBonus Gold and Star Alliance Gold passengers are directed to the business lounge nextdoor and there is also a temporary SAS Pop-up Summer Lounge in the F-pier in terminal 5.
