As international sanctions against Iran are lifted following the new nuclear deal more and more airlines have decided to resume flight operations to the country. Recently Air France announced a service resumption and today British Airways followed.

The new British Airways service will operate from London Heathrow to Tehran starting 14 July 2016. The route will be operated six times weekly using a Boeing 777-200ER with four classes onboard – First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

Flight BA 153 will depart London Heathrow at 21.10 all days of the week except Sundays arriving in Tehran at 06.25 the following morning. From Tehran flight BA 152 will depart at 08.35 all days except Mondays arriving at London Heathrow at 11.10.

“Iran is a large and growing economy and Tehran is a brilliant business city so we are incredibly excited to be adding another gateway to the Middle East for our customers”, says Neil Cottrell, British Airways’ head of network planning.
