Upon arrival at Riga airport this late afternoon I made a quick visit to the business lounge at the airport called the Primeclass Business Lounge. I only had hand luggage, had some time to spare before heading to the city centre and there was no problem visiting the lounge also upon arrival using my Priority Pass.
This afternoon there was a nice surprise in the lounge, a manned bar with a lounge attendant mixing cocktails, including some gin and vodka drinks and of course the local Latvian herbal liqueur Riga Balzams. As this was a Friday afternoon with many travellers going away for the weekend or returning home after a long work week many lounge guests took advantage of the offer. A very nice initiative.
