Where is it?
The OSL Lounge is located in the international transit hall at Oslo Gardermoen airport in the Schengen area. After passing through security control, follow the signs for the E and F gates. The lounge is located on the first floor and can be reached using the lift or the stairs on the left hand side just after the large taxfree shop.
How do I get in?
The lounge is used by most full-service airlines not a member of Star Alliance or a partner of SAS. These airlines use the SAS Lounge and SAS Gold Lounge nextdoor.
Among the airlines using the OSL Lounge for their first and business class passengers and top frequent flyers are British Airways, Finnair, Air France, KLM, Qatar Airways and Emirates.
Although the lounge is not part of any major lounge schemes such as Priority Pass they have agreements with a few credit card companies, either giving free access or a discount on the entry fee. There are no other pay-in lounges or third-party lounges at the airport.
What’s it like?
Although the lounge has been around for some time it still feels quite fresh and modern with a Scandinavian-inspired and fairly contemporary design with many wooden elements and mostly pastel colours.
There are several seating areas with large and comfortable sofas and armchairs. The only drawback is that some of the lamps are hanging quite low so you need to mind your head when you stand up, at least if you are fairly tall.
By the buffet area there are more seating areas with several bar tables and bar stools.
Depending on the time of the day, the sunlight and if the jalousies are open or closed there is a good apron view from the lounge overlooking some of the parking positions at the international terminal.
Food and drinks
The rather spacious and sizeable buffet area is located straight after the reception desk.
There is a cold buffet which varies depending on the time of the day with breakfast dishes in the morning and cold cuts, sandwiches and vegetables during most of the day. There are also snacks, cookies and fresh fruits.
Beer and wine are available on tap and starting from noon a standard selection of spirits is available. There is also a juice machine, a soft drinks dispenser, a coffee machine and tea.
Facilities
A good selection of newspapers and magazines is available in the reception area and there is free wireless internet.
Restrooms are located inside the lounge.
Anything else not to miss?
For passengers entering the lounge on an invitation from an airline (and not as a pay-in lounge) there is since a few months ago a separate area called ‘Premium OSL Lounge’ to the right after the reception desk with a slightly different design and, depending on the time of the day, less people.
Final impression
A modern, tidy and well-maintained lounge with comfortable seating and a reasonable selection of cold food, snacks and drinks. All-in-all a fairly pleasant third-party lounge.
