Where is it?

There are three lounges at Leeds Bradford airport, all located in the same area of the terminal building with a shared reception area. The lounges are located airside after security control, in the transit hall used for both domestic and international departures.

The entrance to the lounges is close to gate 4 and 5, in a corner after passing through the shopping area and the food court.

After the reception desk, where you register, you turn left and follow a corridor to get to the White Rose Suite lounge.

How do I get in?

Different access rules apply for the three lounges and the entrance fees are also different.

Most guests pay to access the lounge, either in advance (usually cheaper) or at the reception desk on the day of departure. However on busy weekends they sometimes limit the number of walk-in guests, or even put a sign outside that the lounge is full, so it is usually better to prebook the visit, both in order to have a confirmed booking and to save some money.

The White Rose Suite Lounge can also be accessed using e.g. Priority Pass.

Some full-service airlines also use the lounge such as British Airways and KLM, although their webpages sometimes mention the Yorkshire Lounge.

What’s it like?

There are no less than three lounges at Leeds Bradford – The Yorkshire Lounge, The White Rose Suite Lounge and The 1432 Runway Club Lounge.

The White Rose Suite Lounge is basically the mid option, the best choice for passengers who want something better and nicer than the rather basic Yorkshire Lounge but who are not prepared to pay the full price to enter the premium 1432 Runway Club, which offers a self-service bar with premium beverages and made-to-order food.

Inside the lounge

While the Yorkshire lounge is fairly basic in terms of design this lounge has a rather pleasant one. There are large panorama windows facing the apron and the runway with a great view.

The interior is also a lot more colourful with photos from the local countryside and the large panorama windows provide plenty of natural light.

The lounge is not particularly large but it is still divided into different sections with a bar area, a self-service buffet area, a dining area and two seating areas with either armchairs and sofas or bar stools and bar tables.

Food and drinks

The self-service buffet offers some cold food and snacks for self service such as pies, pasta salad, cold cuts, salads and vegetables, cheese and crackers, pastries and desserts.

Soft drinks are also available in the buffet area where there is also a coffee machine.

All alcoholic drinks need to be ordered at the manned bar, but in contrast to the Yorkshire Lounge the selection in this lounge is both better and wider. For example it is possible to order some cocktails, which are mixed while you wait.

Facilities

Newspapers and magazines are available and there is free wireless internet.

A toilet is located in the corridor between the lounge and the reception desk. More restrooms are located outside the lounges in the transit hall, next to the food court.

Final impression

This is a fairly pleasant lounge. Reasonable selection of food and snacks and a manned bar where you can order some cocktails. Colourful design and a nice apron view.
