Qatar Airways has now officially inaugurated its new lounge at Singapore Changi Airport, joining the existing network of Premium Lounges at airport such as London Heathrow, Paris CDG and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. The lounge in Singapore is the fifth lounge in the Qatar Airways network.
The new lounge measures 700 sqm with capacity for 85 passengers. It is located airside in terminal 1 and is open from 7.30 am until 2 am.
Passengers who have visited some of the other Qatar Airways lounges will recognise most of the lounge concepts and the lounge design with its traditional Arabic theme. The entrance has for example the signature Marhaba stand-stone with fresh white orchids. There is also a botanical patterned wall in the dining area.
The lounges has seven different seating areas, all with different purposes. These are the Principal Lounge, Quiet Pods, Garden Bistro, High Seating, Martini Bar, Brasserie and Private Lounge.
Just like in most other Qatar Airways lounges there is an a la carte menu with various dishes prepared on demand. On top of that there is also a buffet with international dishes and snacks. At the Martini Bar passengers can order cocktails and cocktails from a trained mixologist.
There are also five Quiet Pods, offering a cozy, semi-private space equipped with sound proofing, reading lights, a coat hanger and universal charging points.
“We are thrilled to have launched our latest international Premium Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport. The lounge design is inspired by modern-day Arabic architecture, reflecting Qatar Airways’ heritage”, says Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive.
