Starting 28 October KLM Cityhopper will introduce a new meal service on its services to and from Amsterdam Schiphol airport. They will also introduce a new meal box in business class.
A breakfast box will be offered until noon and later during the day a box with a salad and side dishes will be served, including for example a slice of apple pie. Local suppliers will be used as far as possible.
According to KLM the new concept will also offer more variation and more individual choices. In the morning granola and jam will be offered separately to the yoghurt and later during the day dressing and nuts will be served separately to the salad.
On the six longest flights with KLM Cityhopper (Cagliari, Helsinki, Ibiza, Porto, Split and Valencia) passengers will also be able to decide themselves when they want to eat during the flight.
KLM Cityhopper mostly serves regional destinations in Europe where there is not enough demand for a larger Boeing 737. They operate a fleet of Embraer 175 and Embraer 190 aircrafts, 49 aircrafts in total.
