This is good news for passengers going to the Austrian Alps on ski holiday. For the first time a lounge is now available at Innsbruck airport. The lounge called ‘Tyrol Lounge’ is located airside after the security control. To the right after the security control on the first floor.
The lounge measures 250 sqm and has alpine-urban connectivity as its main architectural theme, which means that modern furniture are combined with regional elements from the region.
The lounge is divided into different areas with a buffet area offering hot and cold snacks, a business centre with three workplaces and kind of a living room with a floor-to-ceiling library.
But the highlight definitely seems to be the relaxation zone with comfortable armchairs and footstools and with breathtaking views of the Tyrolean mountains.
Complimentary access is given to status passengers on Lufthansa and Austrian such as business class and Miles & More Senator, HON Circle and Star Alliance Gold. It is also possible to pay to enter the lounge at the price of 34 euro. Priority Pass is also accepted.
The lounge was inaugurated by the Mayor of Innsbruck Christine Oppitz-Plörer and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board Paula Stecher.
