Air Canada has introduced a new check-in area for premium customers at Toronto Lester B Pearson airport, featuring an exclusive lounge setting where passengers can sit and wait. The new check-in area is located in the former Aisle 1 on the departure level and is available to passengers travelling in Air Canada business class, premium economy and premium rouge. Air Canada Altitude Elite 50K and higher as well as Star Alliance Gold customers also have access. Other premium passengers will continue to use the priority check-in in Aisle 3 for domestic flights and Aisle 5 for international flights.

In the check-in lobby there are also dedicated desks for Super Elite 100K as well as a concierge desk for eligible customers.

Benjamin Smith, President, Passenger Airlines at Air Canada, explains why the new check-in area has opened.

“Competition for Premium traffic is intense and we are responding to the expectations of this market segment for a comfortable and convenient airport experience.”

Air Canada also plans to introduce new priority check-in services for premium customers in Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary.
