In 2016 the Nordic hotel group Nordic Choice Hotels will open its first hotel in Finland. Nordic Choice has for a long time had a strong presence in the Scandinavian countries with nearly 200 hotels in total, but Finland has so far not had a single dot on the hotel map.
Clarion Hotel Helsinki will be located in Jätkässari, an area in the southern parts of downtown Helsinki which is currently getting a major facelift with new apartment blocks and office buildings.
The hotel will offer 427 rooms located in two twin towers as well as 11 conference rooms, the largest measuring 700 square metres. This will make Clarion Helsinki the largest conference hotel in the capital. The new hotel building has been designed by Finnish architect Aki Davidsson.
