Belgium is known throughout the world as one of the major producers of milk chocolates and not surprisingly large sections in the taxfree shops at Brussels airport are dedicated to different chocolatiers.
But did you know there is also a Belgian aviation chocolate brand? The brand is called Starbrook Airlines, a fictive airline created by artist and painter Jaak De Koninck in 1983. The chocolate boxes come in all kinds of shapes and sizes but they all have in common they carry a lovely design with flight attendants, pilots and mostly DC-3 aircrafts in cool retro colours, mostly with designs from the 50s and 60s.
The perfect gift to the aviation geek? Well if they have never heard of the brand they will most likely be very surprised.
